Tips on Buying UTV Parts

If you’re on the hunt for some helpful parts for your UTV, you’ve come to the right place! With our helpful guide below, you’ll have no trouble finding the perfect components to match your vehicle’s make and model and help you with any of your at-home UTV repairs.

Check the Intended Vehicle

While many powersport vehicles use similar parts or equipment, most components can only be installed in the vehicle they were designed for. For example, ATVs and UTVs are pretty similar powersport vehicles and use a lot of the same parts. However, if you purchase an ATV part and place it in your UTV, you’ll find that once the component is installed your model will not run correctly. This is because the part is designed for the unique build of an ATV, and comes with a number of small features that make it unusable for any other powersport vehicle.

Price vs. Quality

When shopping for a UTV part, we want to advise against purchasing the cheapest option on the market. While it may be tempting to save a little bit of cash by going with a more affordable—if cheaply made—component, it’s likely to cost you more in the long run. These parts aren’t going to last nearly as long as higher-quality OEM components, and may even result in worse performance from your UTV. If your UTV is still under a warranty, you may also risk breaking your agreement by purchasing and installing after-market parts—resulting in your manufacturer refusing to pay for previously covered damages or repairs.
